2018
Conference on the Future of Monogamy and Nonmonogamy
La Tonya N. Davison,
B.A. Sociology
Ms. Davison is completing an MA in Sociology, and an MSW in direct practice at the University of Texas at Arlington. Her sociology concentration is social psychology within the constructs of race, gender, and religion. Approached by a polygamous couple in October of 2013 she was introduced to a phenomenon largely unfamiliar in Western society. She determined that a thesis on conscious and consensual nonmonogamous relations within the Black community has the potentiality to offer fresh insight into social adaptation for group survival, and the overall dynamic nature of marriage ideology.
