Unorthodox (But Rapid and Effective) Techniques for Dealing with Jealousy in Nonmonogamous Relationships
Dave Doleshal, Ph.D.
Jealousy has a reputation for being an emotion that is inordinately irrational and uniquely unreceptive to standard techniques used by therapists and counselors. However, it will be argued that this is not necessarily the case, and that the belief that jealousy is more difficult to treat than other intense emotional issues is a culture construct. Several techniques for the rapid treatment of jealousy will be discussed and demonstrated.
